TMJ release

Service Description

This is a massage that targets the deep facial and jaw muscles to relieve tension and restore balance to the TMJ (temporal- mandibular joint). This can be incredibly beneficial for anybody with jaw issues such as clicking, pain or problems with clenching or grinding teeth. It relieves facial and head tension, often reducing the persistence of headaches or migraines. It also offers great aesthetic benefits which often result in lessening the appearance of lines and wrinkles, preventing further development of them, improving facial structure and symmetry and increasing nutrient rich blood flow for healthy glowing skin. Intraoral (inside the mouth) massage involves using a gloved hand to release the buccal (Buccolabial group/muscles of the mouth) , the Masseter (main jaw muscle) and the Pterygoid (deep jaw muscle) with intentional focus to rebalance or relieve jaw tension. This is complimented by releasing, smoothing and sculpting any other myofascial restrictions within the face or scalp.
